WESTON (CBSMiami) -- A trooper and a car passenger were rushed to the hospital Tuesday evening following a traffic stop.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the trooper pulled the car over for speeding and approached the passenger side of the car.
At one point, the passenger allegedly got into an altercation with the trooper and got out of the car.
That's when the trooper, based on the passenger's actions, needed to use the taser on the passenger, according to FHP.
Both the trooper and the passenger were taken to Cleveland Clinic.
It is unclear at this time if the passenger will face charges.
