HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami/AP) —  A free trolley service which links downtown Homestead to two national parks is set to expand its services.

The Homestead National Parks Trolley will operate on weekends from Nov. 22nd through April 26th. Officials said they're adding more tour times to meet growing demand.

The free trolley is the only public transportation serving Biscayne and Everglades national parks, and the rides include narrated tours. Entry to both parks also is free for the trolley riders. The trolley runs between Homestead and the parks at least four times each day.

The service began in January as a collaboration between the city, the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association.
