Top Performers From The Dolphins Week 11 Loss To Dallas

The Miami Dolphins took another step backwards in its push for an elusive playoff spot with Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Miami once again feel behind early before scoring 14 consecutive points to tie the game in the third quarter.

The Cowboys carried play in the final 15 minutes and sent the Dolphins into the locker room with a 4-6 record.

It was a bad offensive effort for Miami as they failed to get much going on the ground or through the air.

The Dolphins are still in the hunt for a playoff spot due to there being only five teams in the AFC with an above .500 record.

Realistically, Miami probably needs to win all six of their remaining games to make the playoffs due to their horrible tiebreak situation.

The Dolphins hit the road again this week, heading up to New York for a battle against the division rival Jets.

Before we move on though, here are the top performers from Miami's Week 11 loss to the Cowboys.

Kelvin Sheppard

With the Dolphins linebacking corps dealing with multiple injuries, Sheppard took advantage of an expanded role and led the team in tackles against Dallas.

Sheppard finished the game with 15 tackles, including one for a loss.

Reshad Jones

It's become a given that Jones will be one of the best players on the field every time the Dolphins have a game.

While he didn't blow up the stat sheet, Jones played a solid game in coverage while still contributing eight tackles, two of which came behind the line of scrimmage.

Brent Grimes

Grimes did a good job shadowing Dez Bryant and came away with his third interception of the year.

He also added five tackles and had a pass defended as well.

It was a nice bounce-back game for Grimes, who had been playing through an illness for a couple weeks.

Matt Darr

Yes, the Dolphins punter is on this list instead of any offensive players.

Darr has been one of the NFL's biggest surprises this year as he has been amongst the league's top punters despite being an undrafted rookie.

He's currently third in the NFL with a 48.3 yard average per punt, and he's one of only four punters with a kick of 70 yards or more.

Against the Cowboys Darr punted the ball seven times.  Five of those seven were landed inside the Cowboys 20 yard line and despite often having a short field to work with, he still averaged 43.6 yards per kick.
