Top Performers From Miami's Big Win Over Buffalo

The Miami Dolphins knew that they needed to come away with a big win over the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football in order to remain in a good position to capture a playoff spot. The Dolphins did just that, taking care of business on a national stage against a team that they hadn't beaten since 2012. Now Miami finds itself right in the thick of the AFC playoff race, holding a 5-2 conference record that sets them apart from several teams with a similar record to the Dolphins.
The win over Buffalo followed a familiar blueprint to what the Fins have used in several of their victories in 2014. Miami got off to a slow start, scoring just three points in the first half, but still trailed by just a field goal at the half. The Dolphins then dominated the second half, scoring 19 unanswered points en route to a 22-9 win in front of a sold out Sun Life Stadium crowd. Here are the top performers from Miami's win over the Bills.
Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill continues his emergence as one of the AFC's top passers, picking up his fourth triple-digit passer rating game of the season (114.8 vs. Buffalo). Miami has won each game that Tannehill's rating was over 100. He threw for 240 yards and a pair of second half touchdowns against the Bills, completing passes to nine different receivers.
Jamar Taylor
Taylor played well in his first NFL start, leading the way for the Dolphins with seven tackles, one of which was for a loss. He was on the field for every defensive play and seemed to get more comfortable as the game went on. After losing fellow cornerback Will Davis for the season, Taylor will be counted on even more to continue playing well for Miami.
Lamar Miller
Battling through a shoulder injury that limited him five days earlier against the Lions, Miller had a very productive game for the Dolphins on Thursday. He ran for 86 yards on 15 carries (5.7 yards per carry) and added a pair of receptions for another 12 receiving yards. He had a 33 yard run that was his longest of the season.
Jarvis Landry
The rookie continues to impress. Landry secured all five of his targets, accumulating 46 receiving yards and scoring a touchdown. In his last three games, Landry has 17 receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns.
