Top Irish Bars In South Florida

South Florida is a cultural melting pot and with that comes a wealth of establishments that boast an Irish heritage. Of course, the super bowl of the Irish pub is St. Patrick's Day and all of them have events planned to celebrate the big green day. Some are hosting block parties complete with beer gardens while others are mixing their drinks with traditional Irish fare. Whatever celebration you choose, it is important to drink responsibly, so be sure to either take a cab or establish a designated driver. Unlike Broward County, Miami does not have a designated citywide parade for St. Patrick's Day, but it does have the next best thing. Fado's Irish Pub is home to Miami's largest St. Patrick's Day celebration and for its fifth year, the organizers are doing it up big. Last year, the event started out one week before St. Patrick's Day with drink specials, giveaways and the St. Baldrick's head shaving event, where patrons raised money for cancer by shaving the heads of a chosen few. Then on March 16th (St. Practice Day), Mary Brickell Village was overrun with beer gardens and the sounds of DJs on two stages. Finally, on St. Patrick's Day, the day began with a "Kegs and Eggs" breakfast and ended with more beer garden and DJ fun, proving that St. Patrick's Day is way more than just a one day deal.

Last year, John Martin's also had a week-long celebration with the last two days erupting into an awesome block party. St. Patrick's Day 2014 began with a breakfast for paying patrons and then continued with a U2 cover band and all the beer attendees could handle. The 2015 celebration is going to be much of the same except that event organizers are not planning on shutting down the streets again. However, they are planning one heck of a party. Participants can check the website for more details, pricing and times to see what's it's like to attend a mean green St. Paddy's Day party.
