In addition to the courts, the youth center has bowling lanes, an ice skating rink, fitness center, game room, swimming pool (which is heated in the winter to maintain a toasty 82 degrees), sheltered patio (great for family gatherings), gymnastics and many programs, classes and activities. Best of all, parents can play along with their kids or relax in their cafe while their kids play. Their sports court in the sky is a one-of-a-kind basketball (or soccer) court that can be accessed through the Vertical Tower. In addition to the court, there is plenty to do here with laser mazes, ropes courses and even a climbing wall. Please note no shoes are allowed in the play areas, only socks.

Residents in the Keys, especially Key West, can take advantage of the indoor basketball court at Fredrick Douglass Gym. The gym also hosts a basketball league from December to March, which consists of a boys league who plays 55 games and a girls league who plays 11 games during the season. Fredrick Douglass Gym is run and operated by the City of Key West. While there, parents can also take advantage of the free tutoring program the gym offers for children that need academic help.
