Top Gay Bars In South Florida

Whether you're a tourist or a local, you've heard about South Florida's renown gay scene. When it comes to gay nightlife, there's really only one name. Twist has no cover charge and is the longest-running gay bar in South Florida. Inside, you can find gay men with model good looks and seven bars along two stories featuring different themes and music. The Bungalow Bar features go-go dancers and the main room plays house music to pump up the night. Straight women love this bar because they can party with hot guys all night along without having to fend off unwanted advances. It's a win for everyone involved.

Palace Gay Bar and Grill

1200 Ocean Drive
Miami Beach, FL 33139

Not to be outdone, the Palace Gay Bar and Grill takes advantage of its close proximity to the gay beach on 12th Street. This club is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and later in the day, it doubles as a great place to get burgers and fries as well as a fun club. On the weekends, patrons are treated to the most entertaining drag queen show this side of the ocean. Notable drag queens like Latrice Royale of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and local luminary Tiffany Fantasia take to the street to dazzle the crowd with their outlandish antics during the Sunday Brunchnic. If you're gay or just a fan of the culture, this is a not-to-miss event.

Straight people are welcome as well as long as they are willing to have a good time.

New Moon has the distinction of being the only lesbian bar in South Florida, which, given the magnitude of gay-friendly bars in South Florida, is sad. This club seems more like a sorority club and welcomes lesbian patrons from their 20s to 40s. Each night features a new theme and on Thursdays, it's karaoke night. On Saturdays, a live DJ is alternated with live acoustic rock bands and Sundays are devoted to football. If you're looking for a place to just be yourself, this is it.

In the haze of South Florida gay men's clubs, Club Boi stands apart. It caters to black and Latino men and plays hip hop and R&B music in addition to house music. Straight women frequent the club on Saturdays for the all-nude male review while lesbians attend on Freaky Friday when female strippers are added to the mix. The club is located in Shorecrest and parking is scarce overall. Visit the website for more details but be warned, the images are NSFW.
