Time To Break Out The Sweaters & Jackets

MIAMI (CBS4) - It was a wet and messy Wednesday morning across South Florida with some heavy downpours in spots.

Although most of the rain has pushed offshore, we could still see some scattered showers later in the day due to plenty of lingering moisture associated with a cold front draped across the straits.

We will also see plenty of clouds linger throughout the day with slightly cooler conditions. Highs will be in the low 70s Wednesday afternoon.

A much stronger cold front rolls through Wednesday evening with much colder and drier air behind it. Wednesday night will be chilly with lows in the 50s. Due to stronger winds, it will feel like the 40s Thursday morning.

Highs on Thursday afternoon will struggle to reach the low 60s with gusty winds in place.

Thursday night we'll likely see the coldest temperatures so far this season with lows in the low 40s near the coast and upper 30s will be possible inland.

Friday afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s. And yet another front will sweep in Friday night into Saturday morning keeping our lows in the 50s. Saturday afternoon we'll stay cool with highs in the upper 60s.

It's not until Sunday into Monday that we see a milder trend with highs in the low 70s.
