Three Awesome Moments From The Patriots' Super Bowl Parade

Bryan Altman, CBS Local Sports

The coronation of a champion in any sport these days just feels incomplete without a parade through the streets of their hometown. So that's exactly what the New England Patriots did this morning. The record snowfall that hit the Boston area this past weekend kept the festivities on ice for an extra day but Patriots fans came out in droves to celebrate their fourth Super Bowl title of the Bill Belichick and Tom Brady era. Here were some of the many highlights from the Patriots' Super Bowl parade through the city of Boston.

1. The Wide Receivers/Tight Ends - Sleep, or the lack thereof, is clearly not an issues for Rob Gronkowski. 24 hours after posting a this tweet of himself passed out at LAX he was on a duck boat doing Gronk-tastic things once again.

Surprisingly though Gronk may have been outdone by wide receiver Julian Edelman, who was bouncing around with child-like enthusiasm throughout the parade. Edelman, who caught the game-winning touchdown and had nine catches for 109 yards, was living it up with fellow wide outs Danny Amendola and Brandon Lafell and the fans were loving it.

2. Bill Belichick Smiled! - Or at least I think that's a smile. It looks extremely painful, but let's put this one in the yes column when we evaluate whether Bill Belichick is human or not.

3. Tom Brady and his son - Besides the beer chugging and the flag waving there was a sweeter side of the parade about five duck boats away from the debauchery that Gronk and Edelman brought to the party. Tom Brady had a few nice moments with his son Benjamin as they made their way through the crowd, especially this moment, where his son got the opportunity to kiss the Lombardi trophy.

Now that the Patriots have all returned home it appears that the cherry is finally on top of the 2014-15 NFL season. The New England Patriots are champions yet again and have the next seven months to continue their celebration until they take to the gridiron in September and try to defend their title.
