Three People Arrested After Trying To Steal From Best Buy Using Empty Baby Stroller

DAVIE (CBSMiami) - Three people were arrested after a bold shoplifting scheme at a Best Buy in Davie.
Police say two women walked into the store with a baby stroller, but no baby.
They did however have a shopping list.
The women grabbed several items off the shelves, put them in the empty stroller and covered them up with a blanket.
"They we stealing tablets, electronics, I was told one individual had a handwritten shopping list in her pocket," said Davie Police Sgt. Mark Leone.
A loss prevention officer sensed something fishy and tried to stop the women as they attempted to exit the store, but one of them pushed him away and both headed to in a waiting car.
Ultimately, the scheme did not pay off as the car they used as a getaway crashed into a number of vehicles inside shopping center.
"They crashed into multiple vehicles trying to get out of the parking lot," Leone said.
As they were departing, the male driver was tazed by Davie Police. One of the female crooks jumped out of the car.
Eventually the driver got on to University raced into a nearby neighborhood where he crashed the vehicle into a wall.
The remaining two shoplifters bailed out and were eventually tracked down by police.
After the chain of events leading to a crash, police arrested all three people involved.
Facing shoplifting charges Marcelous J. Thomas, Sheronnye Pendergrass and Donald J. Carter.
All were taken to the Broward County Jail Facility in Pompano Beach.
