MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Two teens are facing several charges after students were robbed outside of a South Florida high school.
Police said Delquan Pigatt, 19, and a 17-year-old accomplice went on a crime spree in North Miami-Dade, committing five jump-out, armed robberies in the span of a single hour.
The victims were other teens.
Cops say Pigatt, his buddy and possibly two others, who are still on the loose, raced around a 20-block area not far from Pigatt's school -- Stellar Leadership Academy at 7900 N.W. 27th Avenue -- jumped out of a silver SUV and robbed students walking home.
Most of the victims were from Miami Central Senior High School on N.W. 95th Street. They all picked Pigatt out of a photo lineup, though it's not clear how police were led to him.
At gunpoint, the victims surrendered their cellphones, wallets, purses and jewelry.
In court Thursday morning, the alleged gunman, Pigatt, was denied bail. He's been charged with multiple counts of robbery and attempted robbery with a deadly weapon.
