Teen dead, 3 others wounded in Pompano Beach shooting

Multiple shooting in Pompano Beach under investigation

MIAMI - The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a multiple shooting resulting in the death of a teenager and the hospitalization of three others Monday afternoon in Pompano Beach.

BSO said they received a call at around 5 p.m. about a shooting in the 1800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

When officers got to the scene, they found a teenage boy suffering from a gunshot wound.

Deputies immediately started life-saving measures, but the teen later died at a hospital.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue said the teen appeared to be about 16 years old.

Three other people were also shot and were being treated at area hospitals. Their conditions are currently unknown.

BSO Homicide Unit detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
