Tannehill and Moore's First Impression of DeVante Parker? 'Holy Cow'

When Ryan Tannehill lines up under under center in Week 1 against the Redskins, he will have a plethora of different weapons on the outside, a stable of receivers backup QB Matt Moore considers "a good group" and "obviously very talented."

Asked if it's too early to say whether rookie wideout DeVante Parker -- drafted 14th overall by Miami this year -- has it, and Moore didn't hesitate.

"I don't think it's too early," Moore said on the Joe Rose Show. "Tannehill and I had a conversation about that after the first OTA -- OTA number one -- and I know the media was there that day. But it was like 'holy cow.' We went back and watched the tape and he's making all these catches. There's obviously things he needs to work on but the first thing that stands out to you is okay he catches the football and two, he makes it look effortless. He's very smooth.

"I think you can tell right away the kid's got it."

As for the legend, Dan Marino, and his impact in the film room, Moore has a fun story when the quarterbacks were watching film together.

"He says a lot of good stuff, Joe, I don't know if I can say it on the radio," Moore said. "One of the best things I like -- and this is so my style I think -- is we'll be watching tape and Ryan will ask Dan what do you think about this one, Dan? And Dan will just be like 'pick your guy and let it fly, baby.'"
