Section Of Street To Be Renamed In Honor Of Late Congressman Alcee Hastings

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A section of NW 8th Street in Broward's municipal district will be renamed after late Congressman Alcee Hastings.
Hastings served as a member of the House of Representatives for Florida's 23rd congressional district from 1993 to 2013. He also served as a House member for Florida's 20th district from 2013 until his death last April at the age of 84.
The name change on NW 8th Street will be from NW 27th Avenue to NW 31st Avenue.
