State Employees Getting Christmas Eve Off

MIAMI (CBSMiami/NSF) - Call it an early Christmas present from Governor Rick Scott's office.
State employees will have a little extra time this week to do last-minute holiday shopping, as they will receive the day off on Christmas Eve, according to the governor's office.
Christmas Day is one of a series of paid holidays that state workers have each year, but Christmas Eve isn't automatically on the list.
