South Florida Nurses Blast Hospitals Over Ebola Preps

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- South Florida nurses are calling on their employers to make sure they're prepared for a possible Ebola case.
Members of National Nurses United are calling for standardized protective gear and processes at all South Florida hospitals.
Members of the group gathered on Friday and made a public plea in front of a Fort Lauderdale building.
"Because there's no hospital here that's prepared for Ebola," said Gillian Brown of National Nurses United. "We haven't gotten hands on effective training that we need to take care of any patient that walks into the ER. That's what this is about."
The nurses who did not want to identify the hospitals at which they work said they don't want to see another health care professional get sick caring for an Ebola patient.
