Small Plane Goes Down In Tavernier

TAVERNIER (CBSMiami) – An investigation is underway after a small plane crashed in Tavernier Thursday.
According to authorities, the plane crashed trying to land at Tavenero Airport and took out some phone lines in the area of Plantation Avenue.
The pilot was the only person on board and was not injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation. The Federal Aviation Administration has also been notified.
