Small Plane Crashes At Loxahatchee Refuge, 2 Dead

PALM BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) — A small plane crashed in Palm Beach County on Monday killing two on board.

The sheriff's office reports that the single-engine aircraft went down just before 1 p.m. in a marshy area of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.

Emergency officials reported two bodies in the plane. They have not yet been identified.

Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration were on the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board had personnel en route.

There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
