Seven people, including two children, hurt in I-75 crash

FORT LAUDERDALE - even people were hurt Monday morning in a Weston crash involving a dump truck.

The accident happened on the I-75 ramp to Glades Parkway. '''

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Honda and the dump truck were heading southbound on I-75 at Glades Parkway when they "breached the guardrail and toppled a street light.

After the impact, the Honda, with six people inside, rolled over on the embankment and came to final rest on its side. Meanwhile, the dump truck traveled down the embankment and across State Road 84 eastbound where it slammed into a concrete power pole on the opposite side of the roadway and came to a stop.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said of the seven injured two were children. The injured were taken to Broward Health Medical Center and two were rushed into surgery.

The hospital said two of the patients are in critical condition and the others were listed as stable.
