HIALEAH (CBSMiami) -- Five children were taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a school bus slammed into a wall in front of a Hialeah home.
Chopper4 was over the scene around 5:30 p.m. where a fire truck could be seen near a school bus that had gone through the wall of a home located at West 3rd Ave and 14th Street.
"This corner is infamous for that. People run the stop and run into that house, usually," said Maria Fernandez.
According to Hialeah Police, the school bus was driving down 3rd Avenue when a Nissan Maxima came into the intersection and reportedly ran a stop sign.
Another home owner confirmed the corner is dangerous.
"He just fixed the gate because someone just smashed into it. All the time you hear a crash it is that house," said Lizzie Garcia.
CBS4's Hank Tester even spoke with the crash prone homeowner.
"This is the second time in five months," Orlando Fernandez said.
"What's your insurance guy going to say?" Tester asked him.
"I tell you something, I do not have no insurance on my home," he said.
Five children were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
"One of the little kids he had the blood on his hair," said witness Barby Chrino. "Must have got hit on the head."
Two adults were taken to the hospital as well.
The bus driver and her husband own the bus company.
"She's a bus driver for 10 years," said Ulises Pineira, the bus driver's husband.
Pineira said she has never had an accident before, and she wasn't hurt in this one.
Police said the driver of the Nissan will get a ticket, and he might also be hearing about that smashed wall.
"Somebody gotta pay," Fernandez said. "I'm not going to pay anything."
