MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Former Miami Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland may have finally found a new permanent job.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ireland is going to be hired by the New Orleans Saints to handle the team's college scouting.

The Saints former director of pro personnel, Ryan Pace, was hired to be the new General Manager for the Chicago Bears.

Pace didn't leave empty handed as he brought area scout Josh Lucas with him to be the Bears' director of player personnel.

After being fired by the Dolphins following the 2013 season, Ireland worked as a draft consultant for the Seattle Seahawks but ultimately was not offered a long-term position with the team.

Ireland does have a connection with New Orleans as he and Saints head coach Sean Payton worked together in the early 2000's for the Dallas Cowboys.
