CLEVELAND, Ohio (CBSMiami) -- Lebron James will have a new head coach running the Cleveland Cavaliers after the team has reportedly fired David Blatt.
The Cavs promoted associate head coach Tyronn Lue, 38, to the head coaching job, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Lue was drafted in 1998 by the Los Angeles Lakers and played for six others teams before retiring in 2009, when he began his coaching career as an assistant with the Boston Celtics.
Lue joined the Cavaliers in 2014 and was Blatt's top assisant. Blatt was let go one season after leading the team to the 2015 NBA Finals in his first year as an NBA coach.
