COLUMBUS, Ohio (CBSMiami/AP) — A food company issued a recall for it's chopped Twix candy due to an issue over a warning on the label.

Tarrier Foods is recalling more than 300 cases of  the candy because the Ohio company says the ingredient statement on the packaging didn't show that it may contain peanuts and eggs.

The Columbus company said people allergic or sensitive to peanuts or eggs could risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction by consuming the product.

The recalled product was distributed to wholesale warehouses in Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, and North Dakota where it was distributed to food services. It can be identified by the item number 0870 on the outside of the case. The two bags in white film inside are marked "CHOPPED TWIX Lot 087034314".

The company says no illnesses have been reported. Consumers are urged to return the recalled product to the distributor for a refund.
