Ravens Get Fins' 7th Round Pick For McKinnie
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Miami Dolphins revealed Wednesday that the team will be sending a seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens to complete last year's mid-season trade that brought left tackle Bryant McKinnie to the Fins.
The pick was conditional on McKinnie's playing time in Miami last season. McKinnie started 10 games for Miami after the team's tackle, Jonathan Martin, walked away from the team in the midst of a harassment scandal.
With the seventh-pound pick now the property of the Ravens, the Dolphins are left with just six picks in the 2014 NFL Draft. That number may increase in the coming weeks when compensatory picks are handed out by the league.
The exact formula for handing out compensatory picks isn't known, but it is based on what a team gained and lost in free agency the previous season, according to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald.
