Quinn: 'I Think Ryan Tannehill's Done a Fine Job'
Is it possible to evaluate Ryan Tannehill so far this season with the state of his abysmal offensive line?
"I think it's interesting," Fox football analyst and former NFL QB Brady Quinn said on Hochman, Crowder and Krantz. "Everyone's talking about evaluating Ryan Tannehill and I hear a lot of negative talk down there. Well, you know he's got a better passer rating than Andrew Luck and Andrew Luck is battling the same issues. He doesn't have much of a running game, his offensive line has struggled but he seems to get bit of a free pass at times...
"I think Ryan Tannehill's done a fine job. I think it is unfair for a lot of people to sit there and judge him based on the fact that he's never really had an offensive line that's been that solid where he's able to have enough time in the pocket ... Look at the New England Patriots. Look how much time they give Tom Brady. Look how well they block in the run game. I mean they can do whatever they want right now ... The Dolphins don't have that right now. They're basically one-dimensional and it's all on Ryan Tannehill's shoulders and it's pretty unfair to make any objective judgement based on that."
