BROWARD (CBSMiami) - Family and friends of Trukita Scott hosted a prayer concert in her honor Saturday.

The concert took place at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill in the morning.

Event coordinator O.C. Ibeji said the concert is about supporting Scott's family in a tough time and also raising awareness about missing persons.

"What we have is a family in need. I saw the news and it touched a nerve. To see these kidnapped people and families having to go through the holiday season not knowing where their loved one was," he said. "We wanted to make stand here. We wanted to throw an event not just on behalf of the Scott family, but throw an event on behalf of all missing persons in South Florida and throughout the country."

Scott has been missing since June 25th. Her car was found a week later in Miami near NW 40th Street and 10th Avenue.

Kengeral Allen, Scott's mother, went to a cell phone store hoping she could get help tracking Scott's phone. Just after her disappearance Allen said her daughter's phone pinged all over South Florida.

"Coral Springs, North Miami, Homestead, Florida City, it was everywhere the second day after she was missing," said Allen.

Since then there have been few clues for the police to follow.

If you have any information about Scott's whereabouts, call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
