Police: Village Of Merrick Park Reopens After Being Put On Lockdown

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Coral Gables police said they have reopened The Village of Merrick Park after it was briefly put on lockdown while they were looking for an armed suspect on Thursday afternoon.

Later, police said they identified the person with the gun and said there was no threat to the mall.

Earlier, police had set up a perimeter in the area while they were looking for someone with a gun.

Images from Chopper4 showed several police cruisers in the area.

Merrick Park is located in the 350 block of San Lorenzo Avenue.
