Authorities Searching For "Endangered" Teen
PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) --- South Florida police agencies and the FBI are searching for a missing 15-year old girl from Davie whom they fear may fall into the sex trafficking trade.
According to police, Quahziah Bouie, is a runaway who's been missing for days.
"Right now we don't know where she is," says Capt. Dale Engle of the Davie Police Department. "She has been known to run away before."
Bouie hasn't been seen since she left West Broward High School in Pembroke Pines.
On Thursday, Pembroke Pines police put out an alert on the missing/endangered runaway saying she was last seen wearing dark pants and a light colored shirt.
"I'm very worried. I don't like to see her out of school. I want to see her graduate. I don't want to see her fail," said a girl named Brittany who identified herself as Bouie's friend. "I don't know what goes on in her life. It's happened a lot before."
Her friends have taken to social media to help find her.
Please retweet to help find Quahziah. She hasn't been seen since last Thursday," said one message.
Police said there's a reason to worry.
They believe she is a subject of human trafficking, and is being exploited for prostitution.
Police had previously found her in a Miami-Dade county hospital in critical condition from being severely assaulted.
Last month she was believed to have been staying in a high prostitution area of Miami.Police believe she is in the neighborhood of Little Haiti in Miami around North Miami Avenue and 83rd Avenue.
"We do believe she may be involved with someone who is forcing her into prostitution or some type of situation like that, at this time. We can't confirm, but we have concern for her safety," said Captain Engle.
At least three South Florida police agencies and the FBI are involved in the search for Bouie.
