HARVEY, La. (CBSMiami/AP) — Authorities have rescued a woman who was kidnapped from a Florida college campus and found in Louisiana.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Curtis Williams abducted the mother of his child Monday as she was leaving a class at City College in Gainesville.

Multiple media outlets report that Williams led the woman to a car driven by Williams' current girlfriend, 21-year-old Shakayla Taylor, who proceeded to drive to an apartment outside of New Orleans.

At some point during the trip, authorities say Williams raped the woman while Taylor waited in the vehicle.

Investigators were able to reach the victim by cell phone on Tuesday and rescue her upon tracing her location to the town of Harvey, LA.

Both Williams and Taylor were charged with second-degree kidnapping. It's unclear whether they have attorneys.
