MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) – Police investigating the shooting of a teen in Miami Gardens now say it was an accident.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital after he was shot in the face at his apartment off NW 22nd Ave. and 210th St. early Sunday morning.

According to his friend, they were playing with the gun when it went off.

Even though the boy's friends said it was an accident, Miami Gardens police detained two teens at the scene on Sunday.
