Police said the call came in Thursday at 1:20 a.m. in the 114th block of Southwest 216th Street and when police arrived, they found a man shot dead.
The victim's mom, Yvonne Robinson, tells CBS4 News Miami her son, Elvis Hart, is the victim.

Robinson said Hart was a local barber who made a huge impact on the community.
His cousin Dawn Goods said, "He cuts the people around here who can't afford to get their kids haircut. He cuts their hair. He's a barber he's an outstanding person, that I knew of."
Here is what police said to CBS4 News Miami, "Units responded to shots fired at a residence. Upon arrival an adult male victim was located suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. MDFR responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene."
