Police Investigating NW Miami-Dade Scrapyard Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police are investigating a shooting near a northwest Miami-Dade scrapyard that sent one person to the hospital on Monday.

According to Miami-Dade police, there were reports of multiple shots fired at 2738 NW 21st Terr. at around 3:45 p.m.

Investigators said a man in his 50s was shot in the head and stomach.

The man was reportedly alert and conscious as he was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center, though police said he was being uncooperative.

Detectives are still uncertain what caused the shooting.
