FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Fort Lauderdale home that has never been lived in has already seen death.
A prospective buyer was shot and killed inside the home at 2729 NW 6 Ct. during a showing.
"I'm just sorry for the family that lost their father and husband. I'm very sorry about that," Clive Williams told CBS4's Lauren Pastrana.
Williams owns the home as an investment property.
"I just finished it, just this week. It's brand new," said Williams.

Broward Sheriff'ss (BSO) deputies said a real estate agent was showing the 4 bedroom, 2 bath home to a couple interested in buying it. That's when a man followed them in and shot the husband.
"A suspect entered the home, shot the man, and fled," said Dani Moschella of BSO.
Detectives said the gunman's motive was robbery.
Neighbors heard the commotion and a man named Rick saw the shooter run away.
"It sounded like someone beating on metal, but they say it was shots," Rick said.
Fire rescue crews rushed the victim to the hospital where he died a short time later.
"It's a sad story for the family," said Williams. He went on to say the home has only been on the market since Tuesday and this was the first showing.
Deputies are now looking for the shooter who they consider to be armed and dangerous.
Surveillance video from a nearby gas station shows what appeared to be a man running from the home just after the shooting.
BSO released video taken from a different camera which shows the possible shooter talking to the driver of a white Pontiac Grand Am.
The man even opens the passenger side door, but the car eventually drives off.
Rick said he saw the man run away but didn't recognize him as a regular in the neighborhood.
"You gotta be on your toes. You can't even open your door, can't even put your key in. Gotta make sure no one is in back of you," said Rick.
Deputies described the shooter as a black male, in his mid-to-late 50s with salt-and-pepper hair and beard. He was wearing blue jeans and a black, beige and maroon, checkered, long-sleeve, button-down shirt and a hat.
On Thursday the company in which the real estate broker worked released a statement saying, "We are deeply saddened about the tragic event that took place today while an agent was showing a property. Because this is a police matter, all questions should be referred to the authorities."
Williams' realtor was not at the home.
"She was crying. Because she was supposed to be here and somebody else came instead," Williams' wife Angella said of the realtor's reaction to the heartbreaking news. "I was at a loss for words. Shock. Disbelief."
Investigators are looking for a man in his mid-to-late fifties with salt-and-pepper hair and a beard.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
