LITTLE HAVANA (CBSMiami) -- Investigators have determined that the man and woman shot to death inside a Little Havana home had a "domestic connection."

Roberto Alfonso, Jr., 55, and Ivy Abigail Torres, 36, were found dead Saturday, July 23rd, inside a home at 3625 N.W. 2nd Street, after several neighbors reported gunfire and called 911.

The seven-year-old child, who survived a bullet in the arm, was Torres' son and not related to Alfonso, according to Miami Police.

Torres was pronounced dead at the scene.

"I know her from passing by the front of my house every day," said neighbor Arturo Claro, with whom she'd wave to each morning. "People are crazy."

Alfonso died later in the hospital. Law enforcement indicated that he was the offender, shooting Torres and the child, before shooting himself.

Records show the deceased couple may have had a history of domestic violence.

The Department of Children and Families is currently reviewing the case to determine who will take custody of the child.
