Pembroke Pines Man Arrested, Accused Of Molesting Female Minor 'Countless' Times Over Ten Year Period

PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) – A Pembroke Pines man has been arrested and is facing some serious charges that date back nearly twenty years.
Wayne Lincoln Chin was taken into custody on Monday by Pembroke Pines police officers.
Chin, 57, is being charged with sexual battery on a minor for instances that occurred between 1998 and 2008.
Police say the child was just 4 years old when it began back in 1998.
She just recently came forward, telling investigators Chin would molest her 3-4 times a week.
"This is something extremely difficult for any victim to deal with and go through," said Pembroke Pines Police Captain Al Xiques. "This victim had to courage to come forward and share her story."
Police tell us they secretly recorded Chin on the phone speaking to the alleged victim after she contacted investigators all these years later.
Police say, "The defendant told the victim that he loved and missed her very much and wanted to spend the night with her."
Detectives said he continued, that "The defendant discussed how he engaged the victim in sexual acts."
After his arrest police say he asked them, "How can you arrest me for something I did 20 years ago?"
Police are alarmed about something else too.
"We're concerned because in the course of the investigations, our detectives discovered from both the victim and suspect that in the past, he had served as a coach for a girls' soccer team," said Capt. Xiques.
At this point, investigators know very little about where Chin may have coached or what team, just that it was in the Pembroke Pines area several years ago.
"We've already received some information through social media from someone who recognized the suspect as their coach several years ago," Xiques said. "So we're hoping with information like that we can identity specifically what league he may have been a coach for and during what periods of time."
