SUNRISE (CBSMiami) – The Florida Panthers will begin the 2015 preseason in a very familiar way.
The Panthers will travel to Tennessee to face the Nashville Predators in a day-night, split-squad doubleheader on September 20 to open the preseason for both teams.
This will be the third time in as many years that the Panthers and Predators will face-off twice in the same day during the preseason.
Following the games in Nashville, Florida returns to Sunrise to host the Dallas Stars on September 22.
The Cats will play a total of six preseason games, but only two in front of their home fans.
The 2015 NHL Draft takes place on Friday at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.
It will be the second time that the Panthers have hosted the annual entry draft, with the only other time coming in 2001 at the then-National Car Rental Center.
