PINECREST (CBSMiami) -- Two people are in custody following a perimeter in Pinecrest and the lockdown of a high school in the area.
Early Monday morning, authorities set up a perimeter from 112th to 120th Street on SW 77th Avenue after Pinecrest Police spotted two people matching the description of men wanted in a Coral Gables burglary from over the weekend.
Officers took Kristopher Soto, 25, into custody around 7 a.m. and continued searching for the other suspect. During that time, Palmetto Sr. High School was placed on lockdown out of precaution.
K-9 Officers from Coral Gables, Miami-Dade, and School Board Police, Miami-Dade Police Air Unit, SWAT members from Coral Gables Police Department and officers from the Pinecrest Police Department were all part of the search.
Just before 9:30 a.m., police arrested Patrick Fernandez, 21, after a K-9 unit found him near 7830 SW 118th Street.
Coral Gables Police said the men are connected to a burglary at a home near Old Cutler Road and Girasol Avenue on Sunday.
Officers say they got a 911 call from someone staying inside the home saying someone had broken in and stolen a TV. When officers arrived, they spotted three men running away. That's when they set up a perimeter and sent out a Coral Gables K-9 unit and SWAT late Sunday evening.
Officers arrested Santino Fernandez, 23, on Sunday then advised authorities to be on the look-out for two other men wanted in the burglary which they say was Soto and Fernandez.
The three men are facing burglary and theft charges. Soto and Fernandez are also facing charges of resisting officers without violence.
The three men have since been taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGK).
