Orlando Tops US Destinations For Spring Travel

ORLANDO (AP) — Orlando is the nation's top destination for travel this spring.

AAA said last week that Orlando was the No. 1 travel destination this spring based on hotel bookings at its website, www.AAA.com .

Florida's theme park mecca was followed by Los Angeles; San Diego; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Miami.

AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins says travelers were looking at warmer destinations following the harsh winter in many parts of the northeast.
