One Dead After Shooting In Dania Beach

DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) – One person is dead after a shooting in Dania Beach on Monday night.
The incident took place at the Winn Dixie plaze at 308 E. Dania Beach Blvd.
According to authorities, a man in his 60s opened fire on another person who's identity has not been made public.
The victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where they passed away.
The shooter is in custody and Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating.
The motive is unknown at this time.
Winn Dixie spokeswomen Mayra Hernandez released the following statement following the shooting:
"The safety of our customers and associates is always among our highest priorities and we thank the Broward County Sheriff's Office for their rapid response to this tragic incident. We are taking this matter very seriously and fully cooperating with law enforcement during their investigation."
