Domestic incident in Oakland Park leaves man dead, woman critically injured

OAKLAND PARK -- Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent domestic incident that turned deadly early Sunday morning. 

Sheriff's deputies arriving at a residence near the 100 block of NW 52nd Court found a woman suffering gunshot wounds.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries.   

The sheriff's office said a man barricaded himself inside the residence and was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
