FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- A judge denied bond for a Broward man accused of beating a child to death.
Corey Gordon, 29, is charged with murder in the death of 3-year old Khyese Coach.
Gordon's mother left the courtroom sobbing on Tuesday but there were tears of relief just a few feet away from the family of the murdered child.
The boy's mother Chantel Haye hugged relatives and the child's maternal grandmother castigated Gordon.
"He gets what he deserves. He will rot in jail," said Glenda Haye.

Prosecutors said Gordon beat the child to death because he had soiled his sister's white couch.
During Gordon's bond hearing, Chantel Haye described holding her son's lifeless body after she had finished work.
"I lifted up his shirt and there were bruises all over his body," said Chantel Haye.
Gordon's lawyer said prosecutors are overcharging him and he should only face manslaughter charges.
"Somebody in that house committed that heinous murder and as soon as we do more discovery, medical evidence will corroborate that," said Defense attorney Gawane Grant.
