TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher has confirmed that reserve linebacker Ukeme Eligwe is no longer with the team.

Fisher said Thursday the redshirt sophomore was dismissed for a violating team rules, but did not provide any details of the violation.

Eligwe missed the first four games of the season with a foot injury suffered during the spring and played just one game in 2014. The 6-foot-2, 239-pounder from Stone Mountain, Georgia added depth with the athleticism to play both linebacker and defensive end.

Eligwe had 28 tackles, three for loss, two sacks and an interception in 2013. He played in 13 of 14 games as a redshirt freshman.

Several injured linebackers will return for the second-ranked Seminoles against Virginia on Saturday, including Terrance Smith, Matthew Thomas and E.J. Levenberry.
