MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — A Canadian man accused of traveling to Florida to have sex with an underage boy, who was actually an undercover agent, has had a new charge brought against him.

An updated indictment filed Thursday accuses 47-year-old Rene Roberge of Sherbrooke, Quebec, of also planning to travel to San Antonio, Texas, to have sex with a teenage boy.

Authorities say Roberge flew to Florida after making contact on the Internet with undercover investigators posing as a 14-year-old boy and his father to arrange a sexual encounter. Agents also allegedly found child pornography on Roberge's tablet computer.

Roberge currently has pleaded not guilty and could get up to life in prison, but authorities say the case is likely to end in a plea deal. Trial is currently set for March 23.
