The latest NBA Power Ratings and Playoff Odds via FiveThirtyEight give the Miami Heat 93 percent playoff odds and 39.5 expected wins.
Where does that road project in April? To a first-round matchup with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, of course. Taking the expected wins from both the Cavs and Heat in FiveThirtyEight's model, the second seeded Cavs would play the seventh seeded Heat.
Now that would be a dream matchup for the NBA, wouldn't it? Alas, there are over thirty games remaining in the regular season.
