MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat got a taste of what life is like without starting point guard Goran Dragic on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

Miami played a sloppy game, blew a 16-point first half head and committed a season-high 24 turnovers in what ended up being a 14-point loss to the host Clippers.

Dragic had been sent back to South Florida to have an MRI on his strained calf, though the severity of the injury was not known.

On Thursday the Heat received some encouraging news as Dragic has a Grade 1 mild calf strain.

The injury is expected to keep him out for at least a week but not much more.

In all likelihood, Dragic will miss the Heat's next four games, though no timetable for his return has officially been released.

Beno Udrih started in Dragic's place on Wednesday and shared time during the game with Tyler Johnson at point guard.
