Mother Of Alleged Wandering Child Turns Self In To Police

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – Hialeah police report a woman who was wanted for leaving her three-year-old child home alone turned herself in to police.
According to police, Sara Montoya, 28, is charged with one count of child neglect which is a 3rd degree felony.
Montoya allegedly left the child alone at an apartment on SE 9 Court around 8 a.m.
A few hours later, the child was found in a park wandering around in his pajamas. The park is about half a block away from the apartment.
Police said the child was taken into DCF custody, but was released to his biological father.
The child's biological father and mother are recently separated.
