FORT LAUDERDALE —   Two adults were found dead Friday morning in a suspected murder-suicide, Miramar Police said.

Officers responded to a "suspicious call" involving gunshots near 6000 SW 36th Court at 4 a.m., Detective Yessenia Diaz said. When officers arrived, they found two people dead at the scene and believed it to be an apparent murder-suicide.

On Saturday, Miramar Police identified the two as 40-year-old Doris Giovanni Black and 43-year-old Willie Lee Sims. Police did not share the circumstances of their relationship but said they believed that Sims was the suspected shooter.

"Our condolences to the family members," Diaz said.

The situation is still under investigation.
