MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) - After spending days at sea, a pair of migrants made landfall on Miami Beach Thursday morning.

The two men came ashore in a small green wooden boat near 41st Street. Miami Beach police said the men, who appeared to be in their 30s, were hungry and thirsty but otherwise all right.

They were taken to police headquarters where they were held until they could be picked up by Border Patrol.

If the men turn out to be from Cuba, they will most likely be allowed to stay under the wet-foot, dry-foot policy.
