Miami Weather: Cold Front Ends Heat, Humidity For Now

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A cold front will push through South Florida on Friday evening bringing an end to the past two weeks of heat and humidity.

On Friday night, lows will drop well into the 60s, and highs on Saturday and Sunday will be running about 10 to 15 degrees cooler, mostly in the 70s.

The only downside this weekend will be a gusty ocean breeze and a good deal of passing clouds.

Earlier in the day, was warmer than usual with temperatures as high as the upper 80s. The forecast high for Miami is 87 degrees and the current record is 87 degrees set back in 2012.

The average high for the day is 79 degrees.

Saturday will be cooler and breezy with highs in the low to mid-70s. Sunday morning will be cool with low to mid-60s. Highs will be pleasant on Sunday with the upper 70s.

It will be warmer on Monday with highs around 80 degrees and the potential for showers due to a weak cold front. By next Tuesday our highs will be in the upper 70s.
