Leonardo Ruiz, 60, is facing several charges including armed cocaine trafficking and money laundering.

Investigators said that unusual drug transactions were being conducted at a house located in the 1400 block of NW 24 Avenue, in the middle of a family neighborhood.

Police said a narcotics search warrant was served at the house yielding a large quantity of narcotics, several firearms, a large amount of cash and hundreds of thousands of dollars of suspected stolen property.

Miami Police Chief Manny Morales said this is the result of an elaborate investigation CBS News Miami

Authorities said subjects would come to the house to exchange stolen goods for drugs.

CBS News Miami cameras captured investigators wheeling out brand new power tools, which were found in the house.

Miami Police Chief Manny Morales said this is the result of an elaborate investigation.

"We're talking anywhere from hundreds of drills, impact windows, large quantity of liquor and alcohol, even frozen foods that were here. Apparently, the individual that's here was exchanging stolen merchandise from local shoplifters not only from the city of Miami, but it looks like county-wide and perhaps even to the adjacent counties," said Morales.

Detectives said more arrests are expected in the coming hours and more information should be released, soon.
